1 ✈️ Day 1 : Marrakech – col de Tichka – Aït Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – gorges du Dadès
Departure by car via the Tizi n'Tichka pass, the highest road crossing in Morocco and the whole of North Africa. This complete crossing of the High Atlas allows us to clearly distinguish the two sides of the mountain: North still clearly Mediterranean, South already Saharan. On the way down, we pass through Aït Benhaddou and visit the old village, whose exceptional earthen architecture has earned it UNESCO status. After Ouarzazate, the route heads east to the Dades Gorge. Overnight in Boumalne Dadès.
1 🛖 Day 2 : Dades Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga
Back on the main road to continue eastwards to Erfoud, then Rissani, cradle of the Alaouite dynasty. Shortly afterwards, you'll come in sight of the Merzouga dunes. At the end of the day, walk with camels towards the great dunes, where you'll spend the evening and night in a bivouac.
2🐫 Day 3 : Last moments
We get up very early to admire the exceptional sunrise over the desert. Return to the inn for breakfast. Departure for Erfoud, then on to Skoura, home to several beautiful kasbahs. The rest of the day is devoted to returning to Marrakech.
