Travel Itinerary

1✈️ Day 1 – Arrival in Istanbul

Welcome to Turkey! Today is your arrival day.
Transfers available from Istanbul International Airport.
Transfer to your hotel.
Overnight in Istanbul.

2Day 2 – Istanbul Tour

(Breakfast and dinner included)
After breakfast, departure at 08:30 for a guided tour of Istanbul.

  • Topkapi Palace: former residence of Ottoman sultans, rich with treasures, porcelain, imperial costumes, and relics of Prophet Muhammad.
  • Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet): famous for its Iznik blue tiles.
  • Hippodrome: former chariot race venue, with ancient monuments.

Dinner and overnight in Istanbul.

3Day 3 – Istanbul – Lake Abant – Safranbolu

(Breakfast and dinner included)
Departure at 09:00 after breakfast to Lake Abant, a natural lake surrounded by pine forests.
Optional walk around the lake, horse ride or carriage ride.
Outdoor lunch in a forest restaurant.
In the afternoon, drive to Safranbolu, a UNESCO World Heritage town.
Visit the historical bazaar, Cinci Hodja Caravanserai, hammam, and Kaymakamlar House Museum.
Dinner and overnight in Safranbolu.

4Day 4 – Safranbolu – Visit Ankara

(Breakfast and dinner included)
Departure at 09:00 to Ankara (approx. 3 to 4 hours drive).
Lunch upon arrival followed by a guided tour of the Turkish capital.
Visit Atatürk Museum and Mausoleum, founder of the Turkish Republic.
Dinner and overnight in Ankara.

5Day 5 – Ankara – Hattusa – Amasya

(Breakfast and dinner included)
Departure to Hattusa, former Hittite capital (18th century BC).
Explore the open-air temple of Yazılıkaya, Lion and King Gates, the great temple, summer palace, and Alacahöyük, the first Hittite capital.
Lunch, then drive to Amasya.
Visit this historic city located in a gorge crossed by the Yesilirmak River.
Explore the citadel, ancient canals, bridges, mental hospital, Ottoman palace, and a secret underground passage.
Dinner and overnight in Amasya.

6Day 6 – Amasya – Trabzon

(Breakfast and dinner included)
Departure for Trabzon after breakfast.
After the division of the Roman Empire in the 4th century, Trabzon remained under Byzantine rule.
Arabs referred to this region as the "Land of the Rûms" (Eastern Romans).
Dinner and overnight in Trabzon.

7Day 7 – Trabzon Tour

(Breakfast and dinner included)
After breakfast, visit the 13th-century Hagia Sophia (Ayasofya) with its Byzantine frescoes.
Then visit Gulbahar Hatun Mosque, the castle, and Atatürk's Villa.
Visit Ortahisar Mosque, a former Komnenian cathedral.
Lunch by the sea in Akçaabat.
Stroll through Trabzon's cobbled streets, followed by a panoramic tea break at Boztepe.
Dinner and overnight in Trabzon.

8Day 8 – Sumela Monastery – Zigana Mountains – Karaca Cave

(Breakfast and dinner included)
Visit the 4th-century Sumela Monastery, perched on a cliff in a dense forest.
Break in the Altındere Valley National Park, then continue to the Zigana Mountains.
Visit Karaca Cave, famous for its colors and natural formations.
Dinner and overnight in Trabzon.

9Day 9 – Trabzon – End of Tour

End of the tour. Please plan your departure accordingly (check-out before noon).
