No visa is required for Canadian nationals for a stay of less than 90 days in Namibia. Visas are issued free of charge upon arrival in the country upon presentation of
a passport that must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of return of the trip,
Medical
Before leaving, be sure to consult your doctor or an international vaccination center to assess your health and receive health recommendations, especially regarding vaccinations.
Take with you any medication you may need for your personal use and the medical prescriptions for it.
Up-to-date diphtheria-tetanus-polio (DTP) vaccination is recommended for everyone and rubella-mumps-measles (MMR) vaccination is recommended for children. Depending on local travel conditions, vaccinations against typhoid fever, viral hepatitis A and B are recommended.
Payment
The payment of the stay can be done in several times.
You can pay by cash, credit card, check or bank transfer.
The total amount due must be paid at least one month before departure.
If the registration takes place after less than one month before departure, checks will no longer be accepted and full payment must be made at registration.
A deposit must be left. This will vary according to the total amount you will have to pay, the number of people, whether you choose options or not, etc.
Flights
Departures can be made from all over Canada. The date of departure and/or the airline will vary according to your wishes. You will take your flight independently and then you will be picked up at the arrival airport.
Climate
Namibia has a very varied climate depending on the time of the year. We can find three main periods. From October to December, the temperatures are high and the weather is good. Then, from January to April, the temperatures are high but the weather is wet, it is the rainy season. Finally, from May to September the temperatures are cold and the weather is dry. This corresponds to winter. From 0° in winter to more than 40°c in summer, it is preferable to be well informed before leaving in order to avoid surprises.

Languages
Oshiwambo is the most spoken language even if English is the official language of the country since about 30 years. Other African dialects are widespread but don’t panic, English is commonly spoken by professionals in the tourist industry.
